Time Formula rev1

A

Andy

Thanks for the quick response Aladin

I dont think I explained myself very well.

A1 B1 C1 D1 E1
08:50 09:10 00:20 0:25 0:05

I have a spreadsheet like above.

Column A has the time the task started.
Column B has the time the task finished.
Column C has the actual time taken to complete the task.
Column D has the time the task should have taken (this
number is generated form a lookup table which is linked to
task number ie every task has a ideal time to complete).
Column E is where I would like it to calculate the
deviation form D1 to C1. This is fine if D1 is larger than
C1 but when it is not excel returns ####### and I would
like it to return a negitive value.

Thanks again for your support.

Andy
Column E is formatted to Time (hh:mm)

Andy,

The formula should still hold...

In E1 enter:

=(D1-C1)*1440

Format E1 as General.
