to use Word as email editor, like in outlook

my work laptop has MS Outlook 2007, where i have Word as my email editor.
I want the same features that i enjoy in outlook in Entourage, is it possible. Such as spell and grammar check, word count and so on.

Entourage 2008 includes spell check, dictionary and a thesaurus,
but no word count. You'll have to copy the text of your Entourage message,
paste it into Word, do your word count there and then paste it back into
Entourage.

Apple Mail won't help much, either - no word count, although it does
have spelling and grammar check functions.

You could try to create an AppleScript to take care of this for you
automatically, if you're feeling very adventurous.
