I grouped my contacts into several categories and when I
send an email to an assigned group. The recieved email
lists all of my contacts under the to: column which
allows them to view everyone I send the e-mail to.

Is it possible to restrict this feature so only the
reciever view their name only?

Use the BCC field to hide the recipients.
If you want recipients to receive a personalized message, you'd need to use
mail merge from Word, not a Distribution List.
