Today's color

Maybe I'm going color blind, but when in the calendar, today's color is something I'll call "barely beige." The other days are a sort of light gray or off-white. It's pretty tough to tell the difference between today and the rest of the days. That goes for daily, weekly, and monthly views all.

I've looked in the preferences and haven't found something to control the color, transparency, or anything else.

Is this weird scheme just on my machine? Is there a preference anyone can point me to?

There is no preference. You can voice your concerns by sending Feedback to
MSFT under Help in the menu bar.

Not sure if it would help but in System Preferences --> Displays, try
selecting a different Colors option from the popup. Also in same pref window
check another color option.

FWIW, the colors are muted, but definitely distinguishable on my monitor.
