Toggling Spelling Dicitionary while Inside a Document

I conduct business in two languages, Spanish and English (Occasionally
Portuguese). There should be a quick way to switch between languages when
you start a note in outlook or an office document. The current method takes
too many steps. There should be a shortcut available like there is for
fonts.

Hi Vince,

As you didn't mention the version of Word you're using
or the 'current method' you're referring to it's not clear
what you're trying to accomplish.

You can change language keyboards with a click on an icon
in the Windows taskbar (or the Tools=>Options=>Edit setting
in Word for auto-keyboard switching).

You can create styles in Word that
have specific language formatting and Word will then proof
that part of the text using the specific language dictionary
if the proofing tools for that language are installed
(Office English language editions come with English French
and Spanish, but Portugese would require purchase of the
Office Proofing Tools Kit. You can assign toolbar
buttons or shortcut keys to individual styles through
Tools=>Customize.

You can also use the Tools=>Language setting to automatically
detect language, although that one can be a bit quirky.
Be sure to enable the languages you're using through
Start=>Programs=>Microsoft Office Tools.

You may want to also followup in the Word spelling and
grammar or Word International features newsgroup (link below)
