Tommy Zung -HotSync PalmV to Entourage 2004 for Mac-Error:Microsoft Component

I am trying to get a PalmV to sync properly to entourage 2004 for MACINTOSH,
but when try to install the Handheld Sync Installer-I recieve an error
message: Microsoft Component Plugin not found.  How do I resolve this? or
find/fix the plugin?  Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac Student & teacher was
recently installed with the full installation.

Which handheld sync installer are you running? The one you download is
for v.X, the one that is on the 2004 CD is for the new Office.

I am trying to install the Handheld Sync installer for v.X downloaded
from microsoft site, but when I am trying to install it errors"The
installation failed because the Microsoft Component Plug in was not
found" How do I find this plugin? or download it from somewhere?

The subject of this message is " HotSync PalmV to Entourage 2004 ". That
indicates that you want the Handheld Sync Installer for 2004, not for v. X.
So why are you trying to install the downloaded v. X installer then? It's
the WRONG ONE. That's why you're getting the error.

As Walt indicated (sort of), the Handheld Sync Installer for Entourage 2004
comes on the Office 2004 CD. Actually, it should have already been installed
here on your hard disk when you installed Office 2004:

/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/Handheld Sync
Installer

unless you specifically excluded it when installing Office 2004. So go look
for it there. (If it's not there, insert the Office 2004 CD and do a Custom
Install of just that, or better, drag the Addition Tools folder to the
correct location in your Microsoft Office 2004 folder.) But I'd bet you have
it already.

Thank you very much. you were right, the installer was in that folder
and everything seems to be hot snyc-ing at this moment. Tnak you for
