too large a file to send in outlook

I have a large photo file that I tried to send, not realizing it was 85 MB(!)
How do I abort it? I tried to delete it, but nothing happens. I restarted the
PC, still there, i tried a hard shut down, still there 3 days later. Anyone
have an idea to get rid of this?
