too long notes to print

I am running Windows XP and PowerPoint 2000 SP-3.

I frequently add long notes (I think they are called "notes", it's the
information that is not directly on slides) to my slides. When I print
"Notes Pages", only one page per slide is printed and long notes are
curtailed.

Is there a way I can either print more than one page per slide if needed or
reduce the font size of notes such that all fits on one slide ?
