Too many concurrent SMTP connections; please try again later.

Hi there
since a couple of weeks I receive the following message, almost all the
time when trying to send/receive email:
Too many concurrent SMTP connections; please try again later.

I will then usually try again and again and suddently the mail is
sent/received.

Would anyone know what I am doing incorrectly and how to get rid of
this annoying error message?

This sounds like a problem on the SMTP server of your ISP. You could try
contacting them.
