Toolbar button for all users

Morten

Hi!

I'm sure this has been asked a million times before:

How du you add a button to the Word standard toolbar (pointing to a macro)
and make that available to all users on a terminal server? I've tried saving
the document containing the toolbar as a .dot file and put that in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\STARTUP but the toolbar isn't
modified:-(

Thanks in advance

Morten

Hi Morten,
I'm sure this has been asked a million times before:
This is not a programming (VBA) question, really. Try asking in the
word.setup.networking or office.setup newsgroup, as they may have more
experience with terminal server.

The only questions I can think of are: 1. Are you absolutely certain you've
saved the toolbar in this *.dot file, and not in the local Normal.dot?

2. Are you sure no other addins are loading that might be masking the toolbar?

3. You have checked View/Toolbar to make sure that it's not a case of it simply
not being displayed?

Try putting it in the Word Startup folder rather than the Office Startup
folder. This makes it easier to have them avoid macro security. However, it
does not change how they work. I have had no problem putting a change in one
of the built-in toolbars on a menu using acustom flobal template, but I am
not running Acrobat or one of the other intrusive Add-Ins.
