Tracking impacted tasks when increasing duration on a predecessor

Heres my situation. I have a large project with many dependencies set up.
Often times resources do not meet deadlines on their tasks and when I go in
to increase the duration, Id like to see all the successor tasks that are
impacted by this and what their "new" end dates would be if I did extend the
first task. Kinda like a "What If" scenario Ive seen in other PM softwares.
Im guessing this is a feature I just havent found yet. Please help.

This feature is available in Project 2007, but not in previous versions.
Sorry.

Weak. :) Oh well, at least it made it into the next release. Is there any
easy way to filter on a certain task and only on related tasks? That could
help me acheive the same thing a little easier...

All you need is a way to compare the plan before and after the change, isn't
it?
You can use a Baseline for this, to store the before. Then just make the
change(s) and filter for Start not equal to Baseline Start.
Baselines can be used to compare project plan versions, variations and
what-ifs, not just to store the plan as of day 0.
