Tranfer messages to Entourage from PC

Hi folks

I have Outlook Express 6/Outlook 2000 running on PC windows ME, I am
trying to import my messages into Entourage on Mac os 10.4.

The help screens mention exchange server, i've no idea what this is or
how to set this up.

I have also tried the following

Copying the iaf files from oe - no luck

Exporting to Outlook from Oe, then exporting from here to a .pst file,
then copying the pst file to the mac, however the Mac pst utility
refuses to read the file as it is not created by Mac outlook 2001!

Help also mentions an MBOX formatted file but there seems to be no
option to create one either in oe or outlook.

Thanks

If you are running Outlook, then use O2M (aka Outlook 2 Mac) to export
your messages as mbox-format files. You'll find it at:
http://www.littlemachines.com/

I use it all the time for working with pst files that I receive from
clients. Works like a charm and beats the manual method (via an IMAP
server) that I was using prior.

i've given it a try but o2m seems to hang half way thru (something
about the other application being busy?), might be my windows
installation (me)

Have sent email to little machines about this, why cant microsoft
provide a path?

thanks anyway

The "busy" message I've seen is due to a security feature in Outlook
(not certain when it was added) to keep the address book and other data
from being harvested by various malware (viruses, trojans, spyware,
etc.).

I've simply granted permission and off it goes.

Also, I'm working on a 2 GHz P4 with XP Pro, so my experience may be a
bit different.

Cheers,
Jon
