Transferring Normal.dot

Hi, I just got a new computer with Win XP and Microsoft Word 2002 preloaded.
I am trying to transfer my old normal.dot file from Word 97 (which I have
customized for my needs). Does anyone know how I can get Word 2002 to use my
old normal.dot without having to do all the customizing over again??

I would suggest that you copy your old normal.dot to your Word Startup
folder with the name "oldnormal.dot" and see if that does what you want. I
wouldn't recommend simply copying it into your user templates folder because
it could limit your new installation in some unforseen way. See
