Trend Micro problem?

hello all.

we are currently running Outlook 2000 Premium.

we have not had a problem until we installed "Trend Micro" for our
virus protection.

What happens is that periodically the information in the "Incoming mail
(POP3) text box
changes to "localhost" and what was in this box gets appended to the
information already
in the 'Account Name" text box.

Anybody ever experienced this.

Certainly. It's an artifact of integrating OfficeScan into Outlook.
Disable that portion of your Trend installation. It's unnecessary anyway.
