Thank you for not being smart, just curious...unfortunately, several other
replies weren't as courteous....as for what I thought might happen, I really
wasn't sure, it was the first time I ever used a "trial" program. The
instructions said SOME functions would not be available after expiration, but
NOTHING is available, except for the ability to open the document. As for
paying for the program, as city clerk in a small rural town, my plan was to
"show-off" to city council members hoping to justify the need for the program
since they must approve every purchase I want to make. I downloaded the
program, created several sample documents to present at an upcoming council
meeting and now I can't do anything with them....I also planned to do a
"hands on" demonstration with them, thinking the few samples I created would
provide "templates" for them to work with. It did not even dawn on me that
by allowing the pubs to be available for editing (after the trial expired)
would allow some more devious minds to simply use the program for free (as
inferred by Ed Bennett, harummphhh). Thanks for asking though.

The documents are not locked - the program is. And now it's time to pay for
the program.
I'm curious: What did you think was going to happen after your trial period
ended? (Not being smart - just curious.)
