I have an Access database in which one of the fields is an OLE object used
for holding a small photo (.jpg) associated with an individual record. This
has worked great until recently.
Now when I try to add the photo using Insert Object/Create from File . . . ,
I get an error message saying that the database “can’t read the OLE object
because communication was interrupted. If the OLE server application is
located on a network server, make sure your computer is connected to it.â€
The OLE server application isn’t on a network computer. I’ve tried
reinstalling office with no success. The application associated with viewing
..jpg files is Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, and hasn’t changed since day
one.
Any thoughts? Where (or what) is the OLE server application, and how do I
reestablish communication?
Thanks!
Martin
