Trouble replying to emails.

Greg

I am running mac os 10.2 and just added SBC/Yahoo DSL. I switched
from Outlook Express to Entourage. I'm still using my old ISP for
email (earthlink). I can send email just fine but when I reply to
email I received, I get a message that the server is busy. Basically
whenever I click the "reply" button. The email won't go through.

Any thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks.

You'll need to check your SMTP setting withSBC/Yahoo.

It's also possible earthlink won't allow this.

It sounds like he has both his SBC Yahoo and EarthLink accounts set up in
Entourage, right Greg? If that's the case, go to Tools -> Accounts, open
your EarthLink account, and make sure the Account ID matches the E-mail
address. Then change the SMTP server to "smtpauth.earthlink.net" (without
the quotes). Click the button for "advanced sending options", check the
option for "SMTP server requires authentication", and choose "Use same
settings as incoming mail server".

More detail and a full tutorial are here (they apply to all EarthLink
domains):
