trouble restoring entourage after re-install

Hi,
Ive had to re-install OS X on my powerbook, i took a backup copy of the
user/documents/microsoft user data folder, but when i copy back to the
same location after re-installing OS X entourage just opens with the
setup wizard and no data??
Can anyone please help??

Hi,

You might want to try this:
From within your newly installed OS X, go to the backup you made of
Click to expand...
your user data files, check the info of the "User" folder (command + i
on the "user" folder) and see if under the "owner and authorisations"
section you have "read and write" permisssions on those files?
If you don't have "read and write" permisssions, you will have to
change this with help of the "root" user.
If you do have "read and write" permissions, then your problem is
elsewhere!
