Does anyone know how I can unlock the document option,Ive even un installed and reinstalled and it still wont let me even get in to unlock,all fields are gray,thanks for any help

2. Which version of Word are you using?
3. Please be more specific about what you mean with "unlock the document option"; which menu command are you trying to use? Did it ever work with this document?
4. ",all fields are gray": which fields? Form fields?

I have the same problem... I am really not sure what I did.... I can't modify any of my documents, all options that would modify anything are grayed out. I have Word 2003 and all my documents are 2003. I can't get permission to open them up for modification... there's no pop-up asking to enter my password... nothing. I've never had it locked before, so I'm at a loss....

Have you activated your copy of Word? Check under the Help menu. If there is
a command there about "Activate" try it. If you have a version that doesn't
require activation there won't be such a command. If you have already
activated, it will tell you that.
