Trouble with Digital Signatures

A

Alan Hamilton

I bought a VeriSign Digital signature and downloaded the .p7s file from
their website. On double-clicking on the file, it installed it into the
keychain. I subsequently checked the Cert Manager and confirmed that it was
there.

However, when I modify my security settings for my .mac account, the ID does
not appear in the list of certificates I can use.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Thanks

Thanks for your help. I tried what your web page suggested and can confirm
that the certificate appears in all the keychains. I have confirmed this
with the Microsoft Cert Manager. Still the same problem though. I still
don't get my name appearing in the Signatures list - just "None".

Does the email address inside the certificate exactly match the address your
account is configured to send from?

By "Signatures List" do you mean the list that appears when you click
"Select" in the Security panel of your account, and then twirl the popup?
That's where you need to do it from. All Thawte certs are called "Thawte
Freemail Member". you have to also click "View Certificate" for each one in
the popup until you find the one with the correct email address and choose
that one. No good?
