I'm trying to set up an arguement to have cell D1
calculate a monthly total of A1, and display the true
value if equal or less than 25000, or "25000" if greater
than 25001.

any ideas?

One way:

=MIN(A1,25000)

 

[Peo Sjoblom]

=IF(A1<=25000,A1,25000)

or

=MIN(A1,25000)
