Truncated attachment names (Entourage X, SR1)

I still can¹t figure out why Entourage truncates the names of attachments I
send to people. Is this a bug? Do the full length file names appear to the
recipient? Is there a fix (besides upgrading that is)?

there's nothing to figure out - Entourage v.X handles only 31 character
filenames.

It's not a bug, since it's by design. The full length names do not
appear to the recipient, and there is (and will be) no fix.

All Office X applications cannot handle long file names. It was a big
job to fix and Microsoft decided to leave doing it until Office 2004.
