Hi again - and thanks for your concern!
I know that some mail goes through without problems (usually the first ones
I send in the day). In my sent mailbox everything looks ok. It even looks
like I got the attachments sent. However, since this started I always CC
myself to see if the mails gets through ok. Anyway, I am attaching the first
part of the source of a mail I sent (not the attachment part) and after that
I supply the CC return. Some things suggest that it is not just a server
issue. Again, quite often when I do a reply I do not get the whole message
with (even though this is my default setting). If I do the same a couple of
times it eventually gets the whole message. Again I believe this started
after patching Office from 10.1.3.

Hi Kenji,
Good to hear that you still do work on the poly-Arg molecules. It is a
fascinating topic. I was just doing a literature search on this topic (not
b-peptides though) when your mail arrived =AD a strange coincidence!
I have paper copies of all the reports by Dr. Weiss (Hemolysis) and Dr.
Ryder (Antibacterial). These reports I got by normal mail from Prof.
Seebach. I have two electronic versions on my computer which I am attaching=
..
None of these contains the data of the poly-Arg molecule. These data are
reported in the reported dated 15-Jan-2003 (hemolysis) and in an e-mail fro=
m
Dr. Ryder to Prof. Seebach dated 23-Aug-2002 (antibact).
All Novartis experiments seem to be performed in the same way, so hopefully
you will find one electronic file for each type of investigation. If not,
let me know and I will fax you my paper copies.
If you find electronic versions with the experimental data, please also
forward these to me since I need them for the experimental section of the
=B3full=B2 antibacterial paper we are preparing.
Good luck!

Dear Prof. Dr. Arvidsson,
=20
My name is Kenji Namoto, a postdoc with the group of Prof. Dr. Seebach at= ETH.
We are now in preparation of a manuscript on our recent chemical and
biological investigations about beta-oligoarginines for the upcoming firs= t
issue of a new journal Chemistry&Biodiversity, and hence decided to inclu= de
the results from the antibacterial and haemolytic assays on
beta-oligoarginines. Your recent table summarizing the assay results is
already at our hand, but we would be very grateful if you have further
information to forward to us regarding the assay, such as specific assay
conditions and references (we are also trying to contact Dr. Weiss at
Novartis). Thank you in advance for your kind attention and time to hel= p us.

Yours sincerely,
