Trying to create variation column...

i want to use the PERT columns to create a variation colum using the
following formula - [ ( Pessimistic - Optimistic ) / 6 ]2
In Project I've added the column and created a formula to pull from
Duration3- Duration1 /6 but can't get the power of 2 to work. If I use ^2 it
gives me a crazy number thats not right.

Have you taken into account that durations are stored in minutes?

It shouldn't make a difference since you can set option to show in whatever
you want(minute,hour,day,week,month)

Show, yes, but when it multiplies it by itself, that is internal.
