trying to make an old Alpha 3 program compatible wit XP

I have copied a program (Alpha3), which was working fine from one XP
enviorment to a jump drive . With the intent of loading the program on
another computer. I ran the Program compatibilty wizard to no avail. I
receive an error message stating 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem Invalid startup
directory, please check your pif file.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get this program to run?
