How do I get outlook to run in the background as a tsr
without just minimizing it?

You don't - it does not run that way. BTW, TSRs are long gone (they were a
DOS sort of thing). Perhaps you mean "service", which is sort of the
Windows equivalent. Outlook does not run as a service.
