Turn off template task pane

Can antone tell me how to turn this feature off so when I open the document
the next time it does not appear?

I'm having the same problem - It's in Word and somehow my husband has put a
picture in so that everytime I open a new word document, this picture appears
and I cannot stop it appearing. I have Word 2003.

2. Do not hijack threads. You are not having the same problem as the
