Any idea how-to? Entourage 10.1.4, Mac OSX 10.3.4

I can't turn off those annoying sounds - even if leaving the prefs
unchecked! Whuzup?

thanks

General Preferences/Notifications. You can turn off whichever - or all -
sounds you don't want there.

Shame on you!

Microsoft knows you NEED those sounds, even if you are too blind to see it.

There may be a way to turn them off by ripping apart code (or easier for all
I know), but there is definitely no way to turn off the bouncing icon in the
doc everytime a server hiccups during a session.

MS knows it's much more important for you to get meaningless status details
from Entourage than to finish a sentence or train of thought.

I feel so cared for!

Bill, why all the hostility? Did you get in a fight with your SO today?

Worse than that. I was trying to be funny.

Difficult morning. Sorry to share so much of it.

The bouncing icon does annoy though.

Back to my original question -- I've turned them off - I've toggle'd
em to make sure, and they just don't work. And I (of course) have a
legit copy of Office!

All the best-

Bill

I don't know what to tell you. I've turned off all of the sound checkboxes
in the Entourage Notifications prefs panel and Entourage doesn't play any
sounds for me.

It works as it should on mine. I would try the usual tricks when
applications start doing (or not doing) things they should. Run Disk
Utility, verify (repair if needed - you'll have to boot from your OS X disk
or another partitition), and repair permissions (a couple times each until
it runs clean).
