Turning Off Red squiggly underline In Word 08

Ok....I can't find this option.....it is driving me crazy....I want to turn
off the option that Word 08 uses to signify spelling mistakes etc.....can
anyone assist?

wrong newsgroup, but in the prefs, in the 'Spelling & Grammar' pane,
uncheck 'Check Spelling as you Type'
