two calendars side by side?

How do I view two calendars side-by-side in Entourage?

Open two windows, pointing each one at a different calendar.

You can't replicate the 'two calendars in one window' view that you can get
in Outlook.

What I really need is the ability to have the appointments from all my
calendars displayed in one place. I share my work events, but not my
private events, but I need to see both on one calendar so I know when
one might conflict with the other.

How do I do this simple thing? I don't want them side-by-side, I want
them on one view.

I'm afraid I don't have an answer....I actually came to this newsgroup
looking for an answer for your same question.

Are there options for multiple calendars without an Exchange server and
without creating another identity?

Sorry, no there aren't.

You can send feedback to the developers on this issue. Use the last menu
item under the 'Help' menu - "Send Feedback on Entourage". This message will
go directly to the developers. The more people that request this feature the
more likely it is to be implemented.

I suggest looking at other options. Here are some that were recommended by
users:

I have developed a script that will copy (or move) events from one or more
subsidiary calendars to a master calendar. (And another for address books.)
So you could maintain your local "On My Computer" calendar as your master
calendar, including private events, and regularly (or even automatically)
run the script to copy your Exchange calendar events there.

I have not yet released it publicly because 1) I haven't written the ReadMe
yet, and 2) one person who has tried it and is very happy with it would also
like the script to be able to delete events from the local (master) calendar
after they've been deleted from the Exchange (secondary) calendar. It
doesn't do that at the moment. That's a lot trickier to do, but I think I've
worked out a way to do it that shouldn't be abysmally slow. It will take me
a little while to be able to add this feature, however.
