two contact folders disappeared. Where could they have gone?

Tried to open a contacts folder but it wouldn't open. Restarted outlook, saw
the folder appear but then it disappeared before outlook fully loaded. Any
idea where it could have gone?

Saw it appear where? What version of Outlook? What type of account? What
