Two message lines in in-box

For every message received, we get two complete and identical lines in
our in-box. Each highlights and selects independently to an identical
message. We're using Entourage 10.1.4 running on OS 10.3 on an iBook
G4 12. Any suggestions as to cause? The preference for leaving
messages on the server is NOT set. Thanks

Just in case it's a problem with the database, especially if you're pretty
sure that you don't really have duplicate messages, do a Typical Rebuild.
If you do have duplicate messages, the fault is probably your ISP's, whose
"POPper" may be faulty in not recalling that it has already downloaded the
message to you.

And just to be sure, check all you mail rules to make sure that you have
none that Copy the message. (One possibility would be that you had a rule
that copied the messages to another folder, and then you deleted the folder.
In that case they would now be copied to the Inbox.)
