typing on Microsoft Office Word 2003

First time user of the trial Office Word.
On new page, I can't type. My key bord is active. But why not it doen't type?

How long have you been using the trial copy of Office? My first guess is
that it's expired and it's time to pay for Office if you want to continue
using it.
