Hi,
I am trying to resolve an issue whereby some of our pc's seem to be blocking
UDP "new mail" notifications (as per
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;319572)
It only happens on a couple of pc's and seems to have occurred recently.
Nothing has changed (I know, whenever I hear that from a user I don't
believe them either ;o) as far as I can tell - no firewalls or new software.
The first time it happened I resorted to re-installing the whole OS because
just un/re-installing outlook didn't make a difference. It's not a server
issue as it works fine for 98% of users, I've used NetMon on the server and
there is no UDP traffic getting between the server and the failing client.
(ICMP Destination unreachable - yet ping from the command prompt is fine!)
I don't really want to have to do that again so I'm looking for other
pointers...
Cheers,
