unable to add attachments

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

This is a new problem for me! When I go to add an attachment in Entourage, I get the rainbow spinning circle and Entourage locks up. I end up force quitting. Sending attachments was never a problem before, and now suddenly I can't do it. Doesn't matter what kind of file I'm trying to send, either. Word, Excel, InDesign, pdf, they all crash Entourage. Help!

We need to verify that you are fully updated. The Microsoft Component Plugin
should be 10.1.9

/Applications/Microsoft Office X/Office/Microsoft Component Plugin"

How much free space on your hd? Open Activity Monitor and click on the Disk
Usage tab. How much utilized? How much free?
