unable to delete or move multiple items

Hi

I'm having trouble moving or deleting multiple e-mails. I can move or delet
single e-mails with no problems, but when I try it with two or more e-mail
I get the "Deleting Items.." box with the bin but no movement on the prog
ess bar

I'm getting this problem with all combinations of Office 2000 and 97 on Win
ows 98 and 2000 machines. Our server is running Exchange 5.

If anyone has any ideas I'd be very grateful, because I'm completely stumpe

Try holding down the shift key when deleting. this
usually works alot better

Thanks for trying but this doesn't work either.

Just wondering if anyone else had any ideas please?

Please provide clarification. Are you stating you are able to select
multiple emails but when you try to delete them Outlook clocks or freezes?

Also are we talking about only your Mailbox - Outlook on different systems
or are various other people having the same issue.

I have seen this happen if the mailbox is full or reaching a limit that has
not been addressed. Have you checked to make sure you are not out of space
on server.
