Unable to delete some e-mails

Some messages arrive in duplicate (or even triplicate). One is
readable; the envelope icon is complete. The other(s) have no text,
the envelope icon looks as if it's been torn in half diagonally, and
the message cannot be deleted. Anyone know why this happens and how
to resolve it?

Hello wrichards,
I am having the same problem. Some of my e-mails come in duplicates and
then one I click delete, they look as if they have been read, but will not
delete from my inbox. They are deleted from the actual mail server, but
will not delete from my Entourage inbox. Have you found a solution??? If
you have, could you please share it w/ me????
