Hi
I've just tried to back up my Entourage X database (about 1GB in size)
using the EXPORT function. After about 100MB (based on the size of the
resulting .rge file) the export stops and an error message comes up
saying that I have a damaged e-mail and suggesting that the database
gets rebuilt. I've done this but still get the message.
Instead I had to manually drag each folder to create an MBOX file - and
this worked fine. However it is not ideal as I have lots of different
folders for different types of e-mail (work, family, hobbies and
sub-sets within this). I tried a utility I downloaded that was supposed
to export folders and this said that I had too many open files so it
was no good for me.
How can I find the folder containing the damaged e-mail and why can I
create an MBOX file for all my folders if one of these holds a damaged
e-mail.
With thanks
Arthur
