I am running Microsoft Outlook Express 6 on a Windows XP
machine. For some reason when I click on the hyperlinks
that are included in my mail messages I get errors that
the page cannot be found, etc.
----------------------------------------------------------
When I look at the web address, the desired address is
appended onto it self. For example, If I try to click on
a www.cnn.com hyperlink, it tries to open the web browser
with the following:
http://www.cnn.com/ "http://www.cnn.com/"
So no wonder I get errors that the page cannot be found.
----------------------------------------------------------
The above even happens if I go to Microsoft Outlook
Express's pulldown menus. For example, Help->Microsoft on
the Web->Frequently Asked Questions
I get that there is no Microsoft web page matching my
entry.
----------------------------------------------------------
Does anyone have any idea on how to correct this? I have
downloaded all of the patches from Microsoft and cannot
find any option in the pull-down menus to fix this.
Thanks in advance,
Darren
