Unable to play media file in Powerpoint presentation

Hello, I have Office 2003. I created a presentation and inserted an mpeg
file. When I initiate my presentation into slideshow mode, it only played the
sound and the picture area is black. I have no trouble launching Media Player
separately and play the file just fine. It's a Latitute X1 laptop with
WindowsXP, SP2, Office 03, SP1 and Media Player 10. Any suggestion or
solution is greatly appreciated. -Cuong

Mpeg-1 files have a defined "Redbook" standard and that is what PPT is
expecting, unfortunately many applications create Mpeg-1 files that do not
meet this standard and it causes all sorts of problems.

I'd suggest converting it to a more standard file format or making certain
it meets the Mpeg-1 standards.
