Unable to run .pps files

I sometimes receive email attachments which are .pps
files. When I try to run these PowerPoint appears in the
task bar but does not open the show or anything else. No
menu on right clicking the task bar icon for PowerPoint
but can close it using alt-F4. Am using PowerPoint 2002
SP# with XP Home SP2 (problem present before I put in SP2)
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks Steve. Problem fixed by shifting to primary
monitor.
