Unable to Send Mail

From entourage 2004. Same account sends fine from Mail.Error reads Directory
unavailable. Error -17099. This code is not in any data base and I do not
know how to locate problem.

Go to Entourage > Preferences. Under "Mail & News Preferences", select
"Compose". Under "General", uncheck the option to "Automatically check
names when sending messages", and click OK.

When I checked on that setting I found that it was already unchecked.
Further developments show that I am having troubles sending mail to myself
at my GTE address from my GTE address. I can however send mail to GTE from
my .MAC account as well as send to other GTE accounts. This leads me to
believe that the problem is an internal server setting at Verizon(GTE) that
got changed at the end of the year maintenance. I still have not found out
which directory is being referenced, or what the fault code means. Thanks
for your help.

Problem solved,
Seems that during an address book import, either Palm software or perhaps
even Apples address book program added quotes around my address
"[email protected]". The updated server at Verizon choked on the leading
quotation mark. Thank you once again for all of your help.
