Unable to verify signed senders

B

Boutcher, James K.

At my company, our security group just started signing all their emails
(and, I'm assuming they're signed by an internal CA)

When I try to open up one of their emails in Entourage, I get a window that
pops up which says "Verifying certificates", with "verifying" at the bottom,
a progress bar that doesn't move, and a "Stop" button which is unresponsive
to button clicks.

Everytime one of these emails is attempted to be opened, I'm forced to
ForceQuit Entourage and reopen it.. And then I need to go over to my Windows
laptop, look at the email in Outlook, and then delete it so the timebomb
isn't there anymore..

Help???

If I quite understand, you guys have your own CA. Do you have the root
certificate imported in your X509 anchors?? (otherwise, Entourage
probably can't validate the certificates).

I'll try that - seems a bit odd tho that the stop button doesn't function.
;-) Not sure how I submit a bug report without paying Microsoft $35.

Thanks, Corentin... This worked like a champ. No more lockups!!!

I'm glad it did :)
I still don't know why it froze like that (it should simply have given
you a warning), but I sure am glad it's fixed...
