Undo Action

Hello:
I am hoping someone can enlighten me a little. I have an issue open with a
transcriptionist at our facility who believes the function key Ctrl+Z is not
working correctly. I have checked it in our transcription piece and in a
stand-alone Word Document. It seems to be erratic on what it deletes,
sometimes it being a word, a phrase or multiple sentences. Can someone tell
me what constitutes an action in Word 200, and does this seem to be working
correctly?

If you look at the Undo list, you can get a better sense of what constitutes
an action. The most common one is "typing," and, if undone, this will
stretch back to the last different action, which is often "AutoCorrect" (a
term that is also applied to the actions on the AutoFormat As You Type tab
of AutoFormat or AutoCorrect). As a practical matter, this means that Undo,
invoked during a run of straight typing, will usually erase all the typing
back to the last previous quotation mark.
