Undo and Redo buttons are inactive.

The Undo and Redo buttons in Visio are inactive and shaded out. I've tried
customizing and resetting, but nothing works. What is wrong?

Look at Tools=>Options=>General=> Level of undo command. If it is 0 you
cannot use undo/redo
