unembed attachments from inbound email

hello all, have a problem with entourage receiving emails with
attachments, but instead of leaving them as attachments it "embeds"
them in the email. i want it to leave them as attachments. any way to
force entourage to receive all attachments as attachments?

How they are treated on receipt depends on the format of the mail as
received.

Are you sure they are not showing up in the attachments pane?

If they don't. Drag the message from entourage to the desktop. Then drag it
from there onto stuffit expander. This will almost certainly extract the
attachments from the encoded message source.
