Hi MVPs,

Here is a different question for you:

Do you use Safari or Firefox?

No, this is not some survey, just me asking the experts. I have come back to
Entourage after a long time of using Mail and iCal and Address book and when
I click on a link Safari opens. That's when the question came to mind: What
do you use?

Personaly, I use Firefox because most often things will work there that do
not in Safari. There are rare occations when it is the other way around, for
that I hang on to Safari.

I use OmniWeb. I really like their tabbed pane....very different from
Safari. Their use of workspaces is nice too.

I'm not sure if Safari has this, but it remembers passwords for sites where
you have to log in if you select that preference. A few sites won't let you
save passwords and for that I just discovered 1Passwd.

Thanks! I had a look, it is not expensive, but adding an extra app? Mmmm,
perhaps a testdrive.....

Most sites I use remember passwords just fine....thanks for the tip.

OmniWeb is really great, and I can only recommend it. Out of curiosity: do
you use extensions in Firefox? If not, have you already tried Camino? Camino
is a Mac-only browser that uses the Firefox engine, so websites will display
just the same in both browsers. Camino has the advantage of being integrated
quite strongly into Mac OS X, which means that it accesses the system's
Keychain application to store and retrieve its passwords (site-specific
passwords saved in Safari will show up in Camino and vice-versa) and it can
also retrieve URLs from contacts in Address Book. On a very subjective
level, it looks and feels more like a Mac application than Firefox does. In
addition to that, it's also free, so why not give it a try?

He Michel,

I have tried Camino before, when it was the only browser to work with
certain Bank-websites. I'll give it a second look.

I have now installed Camino as my defualt browser....works fine so far.
