I have inherited a spreadsheet (author unknown) which calculate
differences in total time (in hours and minutes) between two cell
and records this time in another cell. All cells involved ar
formatted using the Custom [h]:mm option. Everything has been fin
until recently when the greater of the two times involved is now ove
10000:00. I now get a dialogue stating that the value I am trying t
subtract from is not greater than the other. This is clearly not th
case. If I enter 9999:59 as the greater time then it works ok. Th
dialog box which appears has a message in the title bar (with a use
defined message) which made me suspect that their is some visua
basic programming involved. However when I explore with the VB Edito
or Macros there is none. Please help this is driving me nuts because
thought I was quite knowledgable of Excel, now I am not so sure!!!!!!
