uninstall Office 97

I have an old notebook passed to me by family. The
notebook has Office 97 Pro installed, taking much needed
disk space. I have no access to the original
installation CD. Can I use eraser97 to uninstall in this
instance? KB article 176823 says eraser97 is to be run
AFTER the setup program Remove All is used. What's the
scoop? Can I use eraser97 without running Remove All?
