Univers Font

There are restrictions on what fonts can be used in court documents. Now Courier is out and Ariel and Univers fonts are in or permitted. I have no trouble obtaining the Ariel font but who holds the copy righty on Univers?

Univers is supplied with many HP laser printers.

Hi, Robert,

According to http://www.linotype.com/13347/universunivers-doc.html,

"Univers, Linotype Centennial, ... are trademarks of Heidelberger
Druckmaschinen AG, which may be registered in certain jurisdictions,
exclusively licensed through Linotype Library GmbH, a fully owned
subsidiary of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG."

There are plenty of non-copyright versions of Univers around. If Arial is
acceptable, then Helvetica or any of its look-alikes will be OK also. (Not
many amateurs can tell the difference between Univers and Helvetica at the
best of times.)Look for typefaces with names relating to Switzerland (Adobe
uses 'Zurich' and 'Geneva').

And Corel calls its Helvetica "Swiss."
